After recently participating in our ‘The Australian Country Table’ collaborative group exhibition with Country Style magazine, we are pleased to welcome back Louise Frith for a solo exhibition this April.
Louise’s childhood was spent exploring the bushland on her doorstep in Sydney’s North. Immersed in the natural world, the bush provided refuge and calm. Ideas and thoughts formed in the safety of the quiet allowing endless opportunities for absorbing the stories of the landscape. Her love and fascination of the bush landscape continues to the present day where the artist engages with the ever intriguing landscape of the Blue Mountains and her familiar local bush scenes of the lower North Shore, crowded with her favourite twisty limbed Agophoras. As an oil painter, Louise’s work seeks to encapsulate her experience in the landscape and the restorative qualities nature evokes in her.
