One Thousand Mornings

We are excited to share fifteen new paintings direct from the artists Macedon Ranges studio. Barnett is highly coveted for her vibrant yet intimate still life paintings.

Taking her exhibition title from Mary Oliver’s book of poetry, One Thousand Mornings is similarly inspired by the quiet reflections we have in-between moments that both the artist and poet is inspired by. Whether studying the leaves of a tree or observing the grace of animals, Elizabeth’s paintings, much like Mary’s poetry are vignettes of ever patient observations and noticed teachings contained in the moments of the everyday.
