Michael Reid Murrurundi was established in 2006
Situated in the thoroughbred, vineyard and coal-belt of the Upper Hunter Valley, in the small but significant town of Murrurundi, the gallery is an accessible drive from Moree, Armidale, Tamworth, Scone and Newcastle.
The gallery gardens are complemented by the simple grandeur of the Henry Danger (1796- 1861) designed Bobadil House (1841- 1842).
Michael Reid Murrurundi exhibits outdoor sculptures such as Gregor Kregar’s impressive, mirror polished stainless steel works that reflects the sky and garden from each of their numerous surfaces. A gallery coffeehouse, Art Shop & plant nursery complements and extends the immersive creative experience.
Leading Australian artists such as Adam Cullen, David Bromley, Noel McKenna, Robert Jacks, Chris Langlois, Paul Ryan, Lucy Vader and Sally Gabori have over the past near decade mounted solo exhibitions.
