All roads lead to Murrurundi

Michael Reid Murrurundi is a unique regional destination for exhibitions of contemporary Australian art and fine food & coffee surrounded by our beautiful gardens.

Situated in the thoroughbred, vineyard and coal-belt of the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW, in the small but significant town of Murrurundi, the gallery is an accessible drive from Moree, Armidale, Scone and Sydney. Established in 2006 the gallery, and its ever-growing botanic surroundings, absorb and echo the seasons with a robust exhibition calendar.

Our gallery, concept store & kiosk are open from 9:30am every Wednesday to Sunday. The gallery & concept store are open until 4pm. Kiosk open until 3pm.

Concept Store
The ethos of the Concept Store focuses on hand-made craftsmanship & Australian design. We hunt for the very best, working hard to avoid the blandness of one stop stocking.
Garden
Screened by a thicket of self-seeded Robinia, Alder and Golden Elm trees, Bobadil House (1841-1843), the late Georgian residence and art gallery of Michael Reid and Nellie Dawes, has all the sense of mystery and intrigue of a secret garden.
