Distil

The elegantly composed tablescapes of Stacey McCall‘s newest exhibition Distil build on the tremendous creative success of her previous exhibition Breathwork, which saw the Melbourne/Naarm based painter move towards a more loose and painterly style. Brought to life with delicate tonal washes and areas of soft or scratchy dry–brush effects, paintings in Distil convey a sense of McCall drawing closer to the objects of her affection.

Opening from Thursday 28th November, Stacey McCall delivers her final exhibition of 2024 which neatly concludes one of the artists most successful calendar years to date. McCall’s elegant and original treatment of her subject matter has attracted widespread acclaim, an impressive precursor to creative heights yet to be reached.
