The Steadfast Tin Soldier” is a literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about a one-legged tin soldier’s love for a paper ballerina. The bird is a Great White Egret, standing (on one leg) on an English embroidered jewellery casket from 1671. The wallpaper is based on Aragon wallpaper, designed by Allan Francis Vigers in 1901 for Jeffrey & Co.
